The Law of Relativity

The Law of Relativity simply says that the way we view any object, incident, or circumstance is subject to interpretation. In other words, nothing is good or bad until you relate it to something or how you as the observer interpret it.

If you look at any situation and compare it to something that is more difficult, you will find that your situation will always look better. But the opposite could happen just by looking at your situation and comparing it to something that feels and looks better, your situation will always look worse.

The key is nothing is good or bad until you relate it to something else.

In the study of this law, we find that all things are relative to what we compare them too. All laws are related to each other and blend with each other. There is no right or wrong, too much or to little, until there is a comparison.

Whenever the law of relativity is properly used...

You will flow through life effortlessly. Thinking about this law tells us that everyone does something better than you, but the same is true for you. You do something better than anyone else.

Knowing this we can relate it to something you are not proficient at, to a person that has mastered what you are trying to do. If you look at it at surface level, you will not look good. If you do this, you are using the law against yourself.

So if you wish to enrich your self-esteem, build yourself up and bring the best you have to give. You will become aware of how special you are, no matter what is going on around you. If you look at the law of relativity as a lesson which appears to be a problem, there are two possible reactions you could choose from:

  • The Victim Response
  • The Growth Response

If you use the law of relativity, which compares things going on around you and respond as a victim, such as “Why me?”, “Why does this always happen to me, and never anyone else” “I always seem to be a little slower, shorter, lower paid, etc… then you have chosen to slow down if not stop your spiritual growth.

Just A Starting Point!

If, on the other hand, you use the law of relativity and see situations coming into your life as just a starting point, meaning you choose to respond with a more positive response such as;
  • “Well I may not be where you are but I am still learning” or
  • “I might be slow, but I will get faster” or
  • “This law may have shown me I am not where I wish to be, yet when I do get there I will really have grown spiritually”,
Then your use of the law of relativity will guide you with ease. You will find that you have a choice, being shown comparisons that make you aware that things are in a constant change, and you can quickly advance your journey. The Law of Relativity gives you the lessons and tools to guide you towards enlightenment.

Each of us is on a journey and the lessons we are presented with are unique to our own lives. They cannot be compared to or judged by others as we all have our own journey that we move through at our own pace. Any judgment or comparison we choose to use is entirely relevant to our own current situation.

Ask The Right Question

If you approach the comparison with a question that assist your growth such as “What am I to learn from this?” and “How will it help me grow spiritually?” then the meaning you get from the comparison is not a negative comparison to anyone else.

Each lesson we find in our life will give us what we need towards healing, growth, and the evolution of our soul, assisting us on our journey to enlightenment.

The biggest lesson of all is to make your conscious, relative choices from your heart not your ego. Remembering that everyone has something they do much better then you and you do something much better then anyone else and that every object, incident or circumstance is purely relative.
