How Reiki Works
This session explains how reiki works and the different aspects of it that bring success not just to the client, but to the practitioner who also benefits. To start with, the person performing reiki on another is called the practitioner, and the person excepting the energy is the client. As a practitioner you will find that if you do reiki correctly you will never be drained of your own energy. On the other hand those that perform reiki, using their own thoughts and ego, will feel like they have worked for days without rest. The important thing to remember is that you are only a channel for the energy, or light source. It is important that in learning reiki and how reiki works you remember that you are only a channel or cord just like the cord of a lamp. A lamp has a plug that plugs into a energy source and runs through the cord on the other side of the cord is a lamp that when switched on lights up. Using that example you are that cord that plugs into the universe, letting the energy run through you to the client who either excepts the energy by turning it on or rejects it by not letting it in, letting the energy flow through. This ensures that you do not take on any of the client’s energy and the client does not take on any of your energy. Through guidance coming from the clients’ higher self, the clients’ body will draw the amount of energy required to the part of his or her body where it is most needed. This process assists the practitioner to become energized through the process.
Reiki Energy
When Reiki energy flows, it flows out to all life. Raising the energy of the planet and the people on it. As a practitioner you do want to give an intention for this blessing to go out which will give it a boost bringing a higher vibration to all life.As humans we have four levels of our body which how Reiki works is to balance them all to bring healing and balance to the client. The four levels of our bodies are: - Physical
- Emotional
- Mental
- Spiritual
Because the energy moves through all four level, healing happens at the deepest level. You will find when a client is finished a peace runs through them and they feel balanced within themselves.
Reiki can be used on anything. You will discover that the world and everything in it is made up of energy. When that energy becomes off balance that is where reiki works the best. The basics of what reiki can be used on are people, plants, animals, objects like homes and furniture. Basically the sky's the limit, in other words anything that needs the energy around it raised, Reiki can help. Many people just discovering Reiki worry that they may do it wrong or may hurt someone. Yet how reiki works, it can never be preformed incorrectly! - It cannot be used to harm anyone.
- It is a loving energy directed by the Higher Self.
- Once you are attuned, you are always attuned. Your connection can never leave you.
- Reiki flows even when you are not aware of it. The energy will flow whenever you place your hands on either yourself or another. Also the energy will flow to others when you simply look at them with a loving heart.
Reiki Works On The Cause
You find that most people want to work on the symptoms that are within a person ill,
how Reiki works is through the cause of the disease
when you are willing to look at the underlying cause, and make the proper changes so healing can occur. Reiki always has an underlining guidance that assists us through the entire reiki session. But you must: - always ask for guidance from your Guides or your Higher Self
- provide only suggestions
- always follow your intuition without second guessing
The question of performing reiki without permission comes up. I always suggest that you: - Always ask permission to give Reiki, even if the receiver is unconscious or is an infant.
- May ask through your inner voice silently. The receiver will hear you.
- Listen for your answer which may come to you through a thought or a feeling.
The out come of how reiki works through a session is never in our control. So it is important that as a practitioner you remember that: - Whatever the result is that is the right result.
- Sometimes lessons need to be learned through what ever the receiver is going through.
- You must always practice non-attachment to the results of the healing, as we are not in control we are just the cord that the energy is directed through.
***Honor yourself and the gift you have been given as a Reiki Practitioner.***
